I don't know where you live, but down here in the SE, the mental health services are excellent.

I 'dropped out' from them in 04. I then tried to cope by myself.

Got myself in a real old state by 2011. Went to see the GP who passed me on to a conselling business. They sent me a form to fill in giving them my thoughts. They telephoned me and told me that they couldn't help me and moved me back into the CMHT at the hospital.

From seeing the GP to having my first appointment with the psychiatrist took 3 weeks. From then on it's been a weekly visit, sometimes twice and three times!
I have everybody and anybody working with me, Psychiatrist, Psychologist, CPN and a Social Worker. They are just fantastic and I now realise that I should never have given up on them 7 years ago.
I now realise that I need help and am now willing to accept it.

Wow, you are lucky. (That's not actually meant to sound sarcastic!) I live in the NE, NW before that. I'm glad there are some places getting it right, but I know I am definitely not alone in my experiences. Sadly, even when I realised I needed help, I was fobbed off repeatedly. I am labelled an 'attention-seeker' for going through the appropriate channels to get help; this isn't helped by the fact that I now have a long history on-and-off with mental health services, as they drop me and I try to cope alone before things get so bad I try again to get help/therapy.
I just want to get better, and am being forced to do so with the help of self-help (the better ones!) books to do with trauma, reading up about psychology, meditation/reflection, and my (supportive) boyfriend, rather than therapy which I have been told many times by NHS psych-types I need.
Anyway, also looking at private therapy while the ATOS ESA god still favours me financially...

I think i'll bow out of further altercation with sangio. He/ she is obviously a wind up merchant. It wasn't the original point of my post. I'll update as & when I have any news

There are plenty of companies that will buy a property within 48 hours at no cost to the houseowner. Have a look in your weekly paper.

so you suggest the OP gets ripped off too!. these companies do not pay the going rate farr less infact.

do you actually have anything to offer in way of constructive advice for the OP.

dont bother replying i wont be able to see the post.

No, he doesn't mean well - he is a troll (andyandflo) that posts to upset and detract from the point of threads, as quite clearly illustrated here.

People really need to stop getting drawn into his games, ignore is the best option. ;)

He doesn't admit when he's wrong just finds something else to bleat about or looks for another easy target...
I always take the moral high ground, it's lovely up here...
