Online Conyeancing & Level of Survey

Hi,

We need to make savings somewhere along the house buying line.

I believe I can make a saving by using an online conveyancing service.

Anybody have a good reason why I shouldnt, and equally if anyone has used one of these services and has a reccomendation please comment aswell.

Finally what level of survey would you reccomend on a 12 year old house with an extension.

Thanks in advance

Steve

    I used https://www.abodeconveyancing.co.uk

They were very good, fast, efficient, and cheap.
  • i have used national conveyancing firms before Online and found them to be quite slow and unresponsive. I guess it depends who you pick.

I'd never go with one again.

Do you know what the price difference is, or are you just presuming???

Most solicitors conveyancing costs are less than you imagine!!!
The main thing is you can turn up and chat to them about problems or sign documents. this saves many days waiting for post and "hoping" that when you send the signed documents off that they arrive!!!!
Anything I write is based on my opinion only. Before acting upon any advice from anyone on a forum further professional advice should be sought.
  • I dont know anyone happy with on line service. You are trying to save money - but you get what you pay for. Go to a small firm of solicitors or licensed conveyancers - may cost a little more, but not necessarily, since everything is extra with online conveyancing.

Speak to friends who have moved - go by recommendations and not price.
