treated wood

places such as b&q state they will cut any wood down to the size you need it.

mr mob is doing decking outside to make safe the garden (theres a thread on here somewhere about the hole outside my back door) for chops.

today he went to b&q to get the decking and they informed him they will not cut the decking to the length he wast because it and all treated wood contains cyanide

is this true? or are they lying because their machine isnt currently working?
There's someone in my head, but it's not me

Treated wood does contain cyanide and there are regulations on how such wood should be disposed of / handled - though this is for industrial scales. I suppose B&Q are looking at the potential to be sued by employees who would be repeatedly exposed, however small or real the possibility.
Don't bother trying to sue me - I've got no money!
