Hi,
On the advice of my brother (grrr) I'm trying to restore my ipod touch but we're having issues.
I;ve plugged it in, pressed all the right buttons, disabled the firewall but it's getting stuck at the "restoring ipod software" stage. It's driving me potty as, sad I know, the ipod is usually attached to me and I'm missing it already.
Has anyone got any advice, its been stuck for a few hours, we've tried unplugging it and taking things from the top. it just stops and nothing, for hours!
Thanks.

Why do you need to restore it? Do you mean update the software?starjumper wrote: »I;ve plugged it in, pressed all the right buttons, disabled the firewall but it's getting stuck at the "restoring ipod software" stage.
Plugged it into what? The Mains? iTunes? Pressed what buttons?0 -
Press and hold both the power and home buttons like you are going to restore it. After seeing the Apple logo, KEEP THE HOME BUTTON HELD whilst letting go of the power button. You will see the 'Connect to iTunes' screen with the Dock connector cable and iTunes icon.0
