NEC/hotel parking dilemma.

I can't decide, can anyone assist please.

I'm going to the NEC in a couple of weeks and will stay over at one of the nearest hotels overnight. I can't decide whether to park at the hotel and leave the car there, or park at the NEC and leave it there.

There's no mention anywhere of not being able to leave it overnight at the NEC, but I don't know whether it would be safe enough.

If I leave it at the hotel I'm wasting time in the morning getting to the show, and have to go back to the hotel and leave from there the next day.

I could just not bother and get the train, but it's 2x the cost!!!

Has anyone done this themselves?

If you are in a nearby hotel the extra time shouldn't be that much. As for overnight parking I doubt it. I was at the NEC Friday & Saturday nights and the car parks do have barriers and these are closed when the car park isn't used for an event.

Be aware that the local hotels charge for parking. The Hilton, for example, is walking distance but if you leave a car there even whilst staying they charge, in my view, a silly amount of money.
