Scrappage Schemes

Does anyone know if any car dealers are running their own scrappage schemes?
We have an 11 year old Ford Focus that needs new Brake disks and pads and also some work on the anti roll bar so a trade in may be the best option
Thanks

Brake disk and pads + antirollbar (probably the links?) are just standard maintenance items, they're not something you'd normally get rid of the car for. Maybe dealers are offering a "scrappage scheme" but it's the same as just taking your car in as part ex.0

Thanks. I know they are standard items but the car has started tovgo wrong and just thought it may be best to swap for a newer one0

the proper scrappage scheme as it was, is now starting to bite the glass house places right up their bum and good too
i said scrappage was bad wrong and short term gain,no-one believed me
look whos crying now
to OP AS as said these things you pain on are serviceable items and buying a new car will not get you away from responsibilities to warranty arrangements it will just take you down a different route to empty your pockets of cash
this is mse get your banger fixed:)0 -
If the car has started to go wrong your probably best off spending a few quid on putting it right and then selling the car on. If you trade the car in you will get pretty much naff all for it and any kind of scrappage scheme will basically mean you get no other discount on the car you are buying so its a false economy.
Plus the moment you drive a new car off the forecourt you lose thousands in depreciation.0 -

Common cheap parts.
Disks £45 pair. Pads £13 , Roll bar links £3 or so. Less than an hour labour
But of course if you want a newer car anway....NO to pasty tax We won!!!! Just shows that people power works! Don't be apathetic to your cause!0
