Help re MSE pop up that freezes my computer

hello
any advise welcome.. often when i click through this site, or find a age via google i will get an mse pop up asking if i want to join the mailing list - this cause my computer to completely freeze for over a minute before i can close it and get to the atcual page i wanted to view in the first place. can you help? frankly it is getting so annoying i am avoiding this site!

You could try entering your MSE account and setting it up from there, I cannot say I have come across any MSE pop ups, but as I am on their mailing list already its possible it just needs clarification one way or the other, of which you could try to do from your MSE account.:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A

avoid the page, or click the X (if that doesn't work, there is something wrong with your machine setup/browser settings - try resetting to defaults, under IE, tools, internet options, advanced)!!

tks both. i am on mailing list already - though not logged in when pop up freezes computer - clicked on yr link, closed, and no probs.... when pop up has appeared in past there is no quick way to click on x to close as computer has frozen the minute the page appears...

everything is as up to date as i know how. using firefox in the main and all cookies etc removed everytime i close down. just cannot undertstand why this mse pop up freezes everything.
i love this site, but this one glitch dirves me so nuts i am now trying to avoid it!
