Does anyone use microsoft money, I was wondering if it is worth while investing in, or is there something better or even free to use?
Want it for home budgeting and personal bank accounts

How about Quicken?0

I've been using Money for about 8 years now and would highly recommend it. But MS don't update it FOR THE UK no more - so we're stuck with Money 2004/05 within the UK0

I use MS money for shares and longer term investments.
However IMO for personal accounts(current accounts/credit cards etc) it is just not worth the bother. It is a bind to keep entering in all your data.
If you really wish to allocate categories to keep a running total of how much you have spent in the last year on say, booze, then its OK. But why bother?0 -
I've also been using it for about 8-9 years & would definitely recommend it. I'd be lost without it!0

I'm using Money 2007, whoever said it's not been updated is in error. Best software I ever got. As long as you put EVERYTHING in it!--

I am still using Money 2000, apart from the odd problem now and then it's still doing it's job.0

Cheers - it was me who said Money 2004/5 was the last UK version. I understand there's other versions out there but always assumed they were for the US.
Before i loosen my purse strings - can you please confirm the Money 2007 you have is a Uk version and in £ ?
I refer you to this article - http://money.mvps.org/faq/article/435.aspx

I've used Quicken and MS Money, on a personal note I prefer Money. As others have said I would be lost without it.

I am still using Money 2000 and before that I used '97. I dont know what I would do without it, I cant say for the newer versions but it is a very easy programme to use.
I can only say that I was always in and out of debt before I started using Money, it helped me get organzized and I have been debt-free (not mortgage) since 1998.
The programme works best if you put all your accounts and details of direct debits, SO's income and variuos bills into it. The initial set-up takes a while but if you get it right it only takes a couple of minutes each day if that to keep the details updated.0
