Reclaim Mortgage PPI

Does anyone know if I am entitled to claim for mis-sold Mortgage PPI? I was sold two policies at the same time and both cover critcal illness and death, although only one will pay out for unemployment. If I changed the policy to unemployment only, will I lose everything that has already been paid. Thanks

If you have MPPI and are off ill or been made redundant then you you can put a claim in.
Or do you mean complain? If so, you are entitled to complain about anything you like. Whether you have grounds for complaint or not is a different matter.I was sold two policies at the same time and both cover critcal illness and death, although only one will pay out for unemployment.
That sounds correct and no issue there. CI and life assurance is offered by the life assurance companies. PPI is typically offered by the general insurance companies. So, it is very normal to have a different policy. If I changed the policy to unemployment only, will I lose everything that has already been paid.
If that is what you want to do now then it doesnt make it mis-sold.

where you told that you may be able too buy your cover from somewhere else ?
That is not a valid complaint reason. Most firms are not actually allowed to tell you this as they are tied to the products and services of one provider. Those that are independent are required to do the narrowing down for you and present the option and not give you the choice.
There is and never has been any requirement to tell you such a thing.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. this is an urban myth.
One that makes me laugh. I like the idea of it extending to buying anything so that, for example, as your groceries are being scanned through the checkout at Tesco, the checkout person looks up knowlingly and goes "you do know that Sainsburys, Co-Op and other places also sell bread?"0 -

What, so you mean that as a vulnerable consumer I am not entitled to claim back my shopping bills for the last six years? I'm sure Martin must have something to say about this. :mad:0 -
