Xbox controller problem

Hi all..
I have a problem with 2 xbox controllers. The cable has become loose on the controllers and we keep loosing the contact with the xbox.Giggling the cable about helps but one of the controllers is useless and doesn't work at all. I've tried to open the controllers up, but once you take the scews out you still cannot open it. Any answers on how to get these things apart other than using brute force.:mad:
