What area do you live in caleb

    Google

    Gspc for glasgow
espc for edinburgh ( glasgow and edinburgh are a bit more rightmove active )

    Aspc for north east

    Tspc for dundee centric

Dunno if there are others mind you . The house ive just bought was advertised through a solicitor that doesnt normally deal with property and it showed in the advert.

Crap photos that made it look small , no photos of the important features like the rear garden/ second garage that was described as small. ( yet fits a ford focus in so is clearly bigger than most new build single garages ! )

    Descriptions were crap too

Lucky i viewed it due to me reading between the lines although the vendor thinks his solicitor is great as it was under offer in 3 days

Really?- I thought that most or all agents used right move even in Scotland. I hate how everything differs up here. So would you need to go direct to agents and ask if they have properies or look direct on their websites? How do you find them if you don't know the agents exist?

a google for "property for sale Glasgow" returns most of the major players on page 1 of the search results.

If you want to buy in a particular area of Glasgow, try a google for "property for sale (insert target area here)"

i don't think it matters which agent you use as most people look based on price, if its on at the right price and in an area someone wants to live then it will sell. I went round with 6 different agents, all the houses found on rightmove, and only 1 was semi useful, some was damn right abrupt and rude and others a mixture of it. The ones i'm buying from only contact me when i e-mail asking for something, never bother chasing anything, and the house hadn't had any viewers in about 3 months from when i viewed, so yeah like I say pretty useless in all sense of the word, but i like the house and its a good price so have gone with it

Glad I found this thread as was just about to start a new one about whether I should change EA as mines doesn't advertise on Rightmove. I'm with GSPC (in Scotland) so guessing I might as well stay with them - just wish they would get me some viewers, ha!
