IVA settled but still getting harassed by Northern Rock

I have been in an IVA for the last 4 years. Due to a really bad run of luck (rented house sold beneath our feet, partner made redundant...) my circumstances changed so I couldn't afford the IVA payments.
After 6 months (and one change of address) my IVA practitioners finally arranged a creditors meeting - the kind where they decide whether they'll accept what you've paid already or hound you to the grave. They accepted (thank ****). I since have found out I have a letter from Northern Rock wanting eight grand.
Call me old fashioned, but are they allowed to pursue this at all? I was under the impression that if they accepted the 'contributions made to date in full and final settlement of the obligations under the terms of the arrangement', then that would mean they accept the 4 years worth of payments and write off the remainder.
Am I incredibly naive? Or are Northern Rock a bunch of bullying ****s?
Where on earth do I stand on this? Have looked high and low for an answer and still haven't got a clue. Thanks for any help.

No they have no right at all, don't worry as you are fully protected and they are just trying to pull a fast one, do you have your completion certificate yet? if you do, just send them a copy and ask them to cease further contact, if you don't, speak to your IP and let them deal with Northern rock.Aug GC £63.23/£200, Total Savings £00

It is likely to be a case of one hand not knowing what the other is doing (common with creditors) .... or simply chancing their hand !!
Do as Millie suggests, or just go straight to your IP to see if they will assist.0
