Twitter a/c been hacked

I have had a dormant twitter account for quite a while, just recently I am aware tweets have been posted on my twitter account but certainly not by me..........help...........I have followed the help instructions on Twitter but getting nowhere. Does anyone have any direct contact details by phone or can offer me any advice as to what I should do......the twitters are offensive and quite weird and random.
The hackers must have changed the hotmail account that is linked with this twitter account.
