Do you mean can you find out if someone is a homeowner, without having a specific property in mind?0
-

is it possible at all ?
thanks0 -
For you or me - very hard.
For the authorities- piece of cake.
For more information, see this thread here.0 -

I know this has nothing to do with your question as such but why would you want to find such a thing out?
Has someone been boasting to you that they've got a property and you want to verify it? Or does someone owe you money?
Just curious!;)0 -

2nd case,
it is a serious money so want to do all i can to get it back,
can you hire a solicitor to search all land registries in the uk and find out if someone do own a propertY?0 -
or can police, court do that, do they have access to such information if i managed to get a court order or ...0
-
Private detective?0
-
that will be expecsive, a private detective probably charges half of what the guys owes me
would police or court not do that if i start chasing it or pay for title search
in another word does anything such as title search exist that you can say i need to know if john smith with dob of 01/01/1980 holds any property in the uk ?0 -
Title search is "who owns this property" so wouldn't solve your problem.
Police won't be remotely interested unless there is a crime involved. Probably got to be serious financial crime before they'll care if he owns property.
If you can get a court judgment against him for the debt, they might then be able to help you secure payment of that judgment - via a charge against a property he owns is one possibility.
How do you plan on using the information once you know? You can't force him to sell the property so all you can get is a charge registered that has to be paid back when he sells up. If he has a mortgage and they repossess, you'll only get your money back if the mortgagee is able to recover everything he owes them on the property.
You could look at an attachment of earnings if he is employed - where his employer deducts an amount per week from his paycheck and pays it directly to you. Might be a more secure route to get your money back. But only if you take the debt through the courts in the first place.0 -
can you prove they owe you the money?
If you can, then take them to court for the debt.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0
