Viewers will look in the oven. .
Do people really do this? We never looked in the oven for any of the houses we looked at, including the one we bought! It never occurred to me that this was something you should do!
I did look in the built in cupboards etc as storage was really important to us, unfortunately we didn't open all the kitchen units or we'd have discovered that the built in fridge was falling off its hinges!
(Found out when we moved in and it nearly fell on me!)0 -

I look in pretty much everything built in; ovens, fridges, cupboards, etc.. I generally ask first and have never had anyone say no (but if they did say no I'd probably regard it as large black mark).0 -

I'm going back tomorrow for a second viewing at a place that we're planning to place an offer on (all going well) and I plan to check everything that's stay... inside cupboards, oven, lights, taps, the shower, the toilet! Might sound obsessive and maybe it's just because we're first time buyers, but I don't want to pay that much for something only to find out it's broken! You were only killing time and it'll kill you right back0 -
Quick question ...
like i said before some of the cuboards are pretty full - do you think this will be ok ? - i really cant find anywhere else to put the boxes
I dont mind any buyers looking in the cuboards, kitchen units ovens etc ...
oh another question a bit off topic but ...
We have a sort of summer house thing on the decking - would we just leave this ? ( i was just looking in the garden while typing this and had that thought ) Im guessing all decking lights and lamp posts will stay too.

You can leave or take what you like in E&W, as long as you're clear with the buyer what's staying and going, however this seems to be clarified late in the process.
Different rules in Scotland, where all this is laid out upfront.0 -
Thanks
Hopefully we will get some offers and see what happens then
