What on my credit report will affect mortgage chances?

I am going through my credit report to try and sort out any potential problems before applying for a mortgage.
I have one default on my credit file from 5.5 years ago - Going to try and settle it next month.
I also have two table 1 searches and the reason given is 'outstanding debt' and were from last year. Neither debts are outstanding.
I also have credit that I'm keeping up payments on. I have a Littlewoods account that I will be paying off next month and a capital one account that I'll be paying off next month. I also have a vanquis account and an overdraft that I can't afford to clear yet.
I know I'll probably need to clear all my debts but what about the default and 2 debt searches?
