Best Deal for landline & mobile calling?

Looking for a deal for my mum who only needs a landline, but calls us on our mobiles all the time (despite me telling her not to).
Im not having any luck in finding a package that includes mobile calling, so suggestions would be much appreciated.

She has to have a land line as she has an emergency call system.

None offer inclusive mobile calls, though BT and others offer discounts on mobile calls in return for an additional monthly fee.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

Could she cope with calling your mobile, hanging up after a couple of rings, and then you call her back (within your inclusive minutes, I hope) ?

  • I would tell your Mum to keep her landline, and get her a cheap unlocked mobile with a GiffGaff sim installed.

With Giffgaff you can get a bundle for £5 a month which gives 60 free minutes PLUS free calls to other GiffGaff phones AND an extra free minute for each minute that she is called.

So if you and the others she calls also have GiffGaff sims, then you would all get free calls to each other.

That's the system we use in our family and it works very well. And is VERY cheap.
