Bought a house - having issues with my current rented property

Hi everyone
I am a FTB, moving next Fri.
Given notice on my rented property - 2 months (there is a break clause) on Mon 12th March. So here until 12th May - well paying for it anyway.
Informed LL and he has put it on with 2 letting agents. One has been ok, took photos and had 3 viewings in past few days. The other declined to take photos as "we have a lot of stuff" - our house is tidy! (but LL has not kept it in good condition, everything worn)
This awkward letting agent are waiting for LL to give a him a key to do viewings when we have moved out (he refuses to do viewings now whilst we are here). I have made it clear I do NOT give him permission to do viewings without me here - I have over £1000 in deposit here, I do not want this letting agent or potential tenants wandering around when I am not here. This letting agent I am worried will just come round when I have moved anyway, because I will not know if he has been round. If he comes round when I am not here what can I do?
Ideally I want them to get another tenant ASAP so I do not have to pay another 2 months rent and can get out of the notice early.

First thing I'd do is change the locks (keep the originals so you can put them back when you move). That way, no-one will be able to enter when you're not there and they'll look foolish for trying - afterall, they can't challenge you over it because how would they know you'd changed the locks unless they were breaking the rules??0

Personally I wOuld see if you could hand back your keys and get the deposit back, pay over your rent with the agreement that you get it back if they find a new tenant. That way you get to move out without having to worry about damage and they get their viewings in motion0

Either you permit access at any time convenient to them, and increase the chance of a replacement tenant being found.
Or you insist on being present, and having pre-agreed viewings only. In this case
a) put your requirements in writing to the landlord, and cc the agents
b) change the lock to ensure compliance and
c) accept that this may reduce the chance of a new tenant being found and increase the likelyhood of the LL being annoyed and thus being less inclined to compromise over early surrender0 -

Thanks. I have emailed the LL. I told him I want to be here for viewings. TBH there is a hefty deposit on this place, we will pay for the whole 2 months if we have too. If the LL annoyed so be it - we emailed him written notice on the 12th March so we only have to pay til 12th May0 -

You should have received (probobly on your tenancy agreement) a written notification of the landlord's address "for the serving of notices".a) put your requirements in writing to the landlord,
This is where you write with any official notifications: Notice, court actions, formal complaints, formal instructions (ie re access to the property) etc.
Send LL a letter.0 -

Thanks. I have also dropped a copy of the notice through his letterbox (he is away at the moment). Is this sufficient?0 -
Yes that will suffice.0

How can I prove I have delivered it by hand?0
