I sent a load off last year, never recieved any points, i sent around 9 bags with around 10 in each!

I've just been on the recycling website, and there is a HUGE list of cartridges they accept. A lot of them work in a variety of printers, so don't let the first post in this thread fox you. Mine is a Canon ip2200 but uses PG40 and CL41 cartridges, which are accepted for recycling

Do the cartridges have to be originals, or do they accept cheapo ones too?

If so, can anyone suggest to me some decent, and cheap, CL41 and PG40 cartridges? They cost a FORTUNE as originals!

That looked a bit rubbish - here's the link for the proper table. Only worry about the code on the left hand side - compare it to the code on your cartridge.

When I asked for envelops at Evesham Tesco, they gave me some old ones which offered only 300 Tesco Green Points for a mobile phone, and the charity was "Help The Hospices", not "British Red Cross"! In the tiny print on the envelopes, it said "This recycling scheme will end in February 2005"!!

I managed to get the right envelopes later from Cheltenham Tesco.

I think the problem you will find with Epson is that they chip their cartridges. The chip would need reset to reuse the cartridge.

There was a big thing about the chip telling the printer the cartridge was empty when it still had quite a few pages of life left.

I sent 13 cartridges off last year, mix of HP and Lexmark, only got the points for 2, and that only after a lengthy email correspondence with customer services. Don't know why only 2 accepted, they were all the same models and all originals.

Shame they don't do laser toner cartridges as I gave up using inkjet printers and opted for laser instead.
