I saw this kitchen at KBB couple of weeks back.
As far as I know, i-glass don't make toughened glass product and in a house, that's just not safe in a house. It is claimed that the glass has a safety backing on it, but this does not eliminate sharp shards of glass in the event that the door takes a not.
Units are supplied on XY-made carcasses which aren't brilliant.
Its at attempt to take on German suppliers who offer glass kitchens on aluminium or MDF frames and the glass is always toughened. We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Can't comment about the units but the safety back glass complies to EN12600 so if it did break any splinters would stick to the backing.0

Thanks. That is actually very helpful information. Where would you say the XYMade carcasses compare to say, Mereway or Pronorm?0

I would rate XYMade below or at best around Mereway. None of them are a patch on Pronorm. We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

I design glass finishes in bathrooms. There would have to be an exceptional reason NOT to use toughened glass in my view. As already mentioned it only takes a knocked edge to make it very dangerous. In my view never an option.
Wondering out loud, I'm not sure how the manufactures would stand if an accident happened either. They are obliged to design in a manner fit for purpose which in cludes typical environmental issues! All together now, "Always look on the bright side of life..." :whistle:0
