Hi, I use to have a credit card and bank loan from Alliance & Leicester till 2002 they show up on my credit report.
but i don't have any account number.
how can but claim in? or should i try and get the account number?

you wont have a chance without statements to show you paid the PPI. They wont have records of your payments going that far back0
