Jeez, every time I call my bank...

Every time I call my bank I am met with an over friendly individual who wants to start a conversation which invariably leads to an "off the cuff" suggestion that i might benefit from a credit card. Am I the only person that has this issue? Perhaps I might get through to them more quickly, without queuing, if they just did their job. If I want a credit card I will ask. Despite letting them know this I am still asked every time I call. Does anyone else have this problem? Is there someway to stop this?

LOL. Selling you additional products is their job.

Why are you phoning your bank? I haven't phoned mine once during the five years I've been with them. I do most of my banking via the Interweb. :)
  • Haha :)

I appreciate they have a job to do but I don't understand why when I've said I'm not interested they continually ask. No, i understand why, i just want them to stop it. :)
  • The only way they will stop is if you don't phone them.

Maybe ask them to pop a note on your account advising your not interested in the offer? that way hopefully you won't be asked again.

I'de be flattered they trusted me that much to give me one well done op from managing your money well enough to have the offer :)

Flint, can you not get an adverse to marketing note put on the account.

If your bank card is black this will flash up on their screen and stop you getting anymore sales pitches
