I love mine!
Don't buy a lead from Apple, get one for £1 anywhere else.0 -
Cheers. Now, how do I set up "AirPlay" to work with my iPad and iPhone?0

I've been waiting for the HD version 3 to come out, was blown away by my friend's one. I can watch Iplayer on my iPad and beam it wirelessly to my tv. Worth it just for that alone0

Kook...so how do I use
"AirPlay"?0 -
when you are playing media on your idevice, then in the menu bar (with play pause and volume) there should be a new button. click that and it will offer you the choice where to play it (idevice or apple tv) click apple tv and as long as its on (or in standby) then it will start playing on your apple tv.
will also work with tvcatchup.com, which is brilliant for me as my bedroom doesn't have a tv aerial and the signal strength with an indoor aerial is appallingTech Savvy Student trying to help and learn

Hi, found this thread as we are looking into getting apple tv; does tvcatchup play old stuff? looking at their website and can only see they show what's on in realtime.

Tv Catchup is what's being broadcast live:)
For old stuff you need the tv channel specific players like 4oD Itvplayer etc etc0 -
You can have 4od,Bbc iplayer 5 on Demand ,Catch up tv etc etc on your Apple tv without the need for AirPlay from you mac or iOS deviceGet Appletv2 & XBMC in and thank me later :beer:0

I can watch iPlayer on my TV without anything else or I can watch iPlayer on my TV on the Xbox or PS3 hooked up to it.
Personally I'd be miffed if Apple TV didn't have native iPlayer support built in.0 -
I have an ATV3. Its ok but really you need an ipad to get good functionality out of it and then you have to do everything via airplay - even when you do that you might not get everything in full screen. If you dont have that the lack of native apps like iplayer is a real drawback IMO.
If I didnt have an iPad already I would have gone for a WDTV live or similar.0
