Can`t cope with this

I don`t know if this is the right area of the forum to post this.Apologies if it`s not. This morning, I recieved a letter from Credit Security Limited, demanding that I pay them £386.67 by 23rd March, otherwise doorstep collectors will come. The total amount owed is £787.89. The debt is for bank charges with HBOS. I owed…

Thanks for such helpful replies, and for the link that explains , camuk.

I did`nt know about it being statute barred, though the solicitor I mentioned did say something about time limits.

I`ll see him on Tuesday, so fingers crossed he can get it dealt with.

It was 2006 that paid what I thought was owed. However, I have lost/misplaced the receipt (I paid in cash).
