    I think FOS itself acts like a car clamping scam. You pay £500 even if you have done nothing wrong.

    FOS says that you get three free cases but knows full well that network members do not.

    It also gives its adjudicators a backhander for "resolving" cases so they have an incentive to look at those where there is clearly no case to answer.

    From next year it plans to charge £850 for PPI cases. A few spurious complaints could quickly bring down a small firm trying to do its best for its customers.
