Best PC cleaner

Hi, I have problmes with my PC and I want to clean it up, what is the best free download cleaner to do this with. It is dell XPS 210 PC and running windows XP.

What problems are you having exactly? You're unlikely to get a "one click" program that solves them.

In built windows tools for basic maintenance include Disk cleanup, Defrag then Chkdsk.

Do you suspect a virus or is it clutter?

If its the latter then ccleaner , and defraggler from Piriform are free and good.

Loads of free AV programmes, MSE is a good one.

You could also use Hijack This and post the results on the techie forum, always someone around who will analyse it for you.

PS Make sure you XP is up to date.

They're all free.

Install and run updates, scan with 1st three and delete all the crap. Empty recycle bin and then run defragger with optimiser.
