Inflatable kayak / canoe advice

Hi everyone,
I'm looking for a bit of advice - we are thinking about getting an inflatable kayak for the summer holidays. Ideally we would have a plastic kayak but have no room to store/transport.
I've had a quick look on google and there are so many out there to choose from I don't know where to start and how much I should spend?
Does anyone have any advice on brands I should concentrate on?
Any help gratefully received.
Cheers
Claire

hi.you can pick up the sevylor 2/3 open cockpit types for about £100.not to bad if your just looking for a bit of fun,my recomendation if you buy 1 would be to try to get one with a skeg included, thats a small finn that fits under the stern, and help you to keep the canoe going in a straight line, although the sevylor isn't perticulary hard wearing, and will probably only last a couple of seasons.if money is not to tight, then go for a sterns canoe prob £230ish but a lot more durable and you should only lose about £50 when you resell it.the only other thing to bear in mind is,that this type of canoe are very suseptable to cross winds, because they sit on top of the water rather then in it,and it's very easy to loose your bearings0

Before you buy a canoe, get some buoyancy aids or lifejackets.0
