Just thought I would let people know Tesco's refund policy changes from Monday 26th January 2007. The new policy will be double the difference of the overcharge refund and plus up to £10.00 in vouchers for your trouble.

Surely you mean February 26th or if it is already in place I lost out last week! Is there anywhere I can find this written as it could be useful for challenging CS. Thanks0 -
from the tone of your post it's this type of money grabbing attitude that has caused the changeA shadowy flight into the dangerous world of a man who does not exist.

I asked in CS in two local stores today about this (whilst returning faulty goods) and no CS staff knew anything about this ? All the usual r+r signs up all round the store and in one store which is changing in to an extra store next week , 6 brand new signs with r+r policy on them .
I am sure these threads that keep appearing on mse in relation to the demise of r+r are just rumours started by people who either work for mr t or are not brave enough to ask for r+r when entitled to it and so are jealous of others who do.
Well I suppose we shall see on the 26th Feb then eh?Started my own business and loving being my own boss

The new signs are already up in my local Tesco - I specifically checked yesterday. The top of my receipt says "we have changed our refund policy, please see in store for details".
So far from being rumours, this is true and already being implemented in some stores at least.0 -
There was also a rumour that the new policy is being trialled in certain stores.
Check recent receipts it should be printed at the top that a new refund policy is being introduced.
Last day today folks - go get 'em.0 -
Why do people think that we are making this up, I posted a week or so ago saying then policy was changing. I have checked 3 stores in Edinburgh and they are all d the d now. So I doubt its just selected stores. If I have been helpful - Hit the Thanks button0

I do not think you are making it up!! It has been official for weeks now that the policy is changing tomorrow. There have been numerous threads on it with better info than this one. What I was saying is that myself and others have asked in our local stores and they claim not to know about a change and also no signs changed yet. Someone said that this policy might not be implemented tomorrow in ALL stores, which might explain certain stores not knowing about it.
The policy IS changing.0 -
definitely changed in my store. said so at top of receipt and the blue boards have been changed to show the DTD policy.
