Shoe Tailor - PAP pomp refund

Hi all, please join me in in some good news received today, i have received a offer letter from Shoe Tailor to refund in full £55.97 POMP ( Peace of Mind Plan). What is strange is that they have written a two page letter of response denying any miss-sale, advising that i had opted for the Insurance and agreed to take it out and at the time of sale i was advised correctly and that no miss sale had occurred? On that basis, why would they offer a full and final refund as goodwill?
Perhaps, it is because all of the above never actually happened, combined with the fact that i was currently of work on long term illness at the time of the supposed SALE.!!!! POMP - I now understand why they have changed the name of this insurance to PAP - Personal Account Protection. Respect Shoe Tailor.

    Hi there
    Well done!;)

Sometimes it can come down to a goodwill gesture where they will still offer the full refund.:)
Even if they do not agree it was mis sold, this way they can end the case I believe.

    Hi Di
Thanks for reply, they have only offered to credit my account, which is pretty useless as i closed this over month ago, it will be interesting to see if they still keen to refund when I ask for a cheque.
