It depends if yo have 'bolt ons' on your insurance policy.

    Do you have accidental damage

Do you have items away from the home.

Just curious, how did you lose it.........
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

You will need to have a personal possessions extension to your household policy, which covers items outside of the home. There will be an excess and any claim will affect your household premium.

If you have this cover you can submit a claim to your insurer who will want proof of purchase. You should also report it to the police in case it gets handed in.

Wonder how many iPad2 units get "lost" now that the iPad3 has hit the shops?
  • does how it was lost effect it though? will they say you havent taken care?

Yes it does matter. If you left it lying somewhere out of your sight and it was stolen then you haven't taken all reasonable steps to secure it. Some policies actually state that you should take the same care with possessions as you would if they were not insured.

If you were mugged and it was stolen then that may be covered.

It would be far easier to advise if you would just say what happened rather than being evasive.

Expect them to be very thorough with the questioning - most people who've lost an iPad would know where, when and how (it's not the sort of thing that falls out of your pocket!). Report it to the police immediately (this may be a condition of the policy). There's a good chance (depending on the insurer) that they'll do a "cognitive interview" with you where you go through the circumstances several times and they try to trip you up.

    sell it your mate
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.
