advise re home premium / 64 bit?

am looking at these 2 laps

tosh has home premium o/s the hp has hpremium 64 bit. i've tried google and can't discover the difference..??

ps i know there may be cheaper versions, but i want to buy via jlp for peace of mind re their guarantee. tks for any help

I'd guess it's an error in the description of the Toshiba - it has 6GB of RAM, which the 32-bit version of Home Premium would not be able to access fully.

Any laptop/PC with more than 4GB really needs to have the 64-bit version installed.

Between 32bit and 64bit?

tks both 4 yr replies. waddler that is a helpful link, i had not realized that if just "home premium" is listed it means a 32 bit o/s. and fwor tks - it wouldn't be the first time jlp have screwed up a listing.. i will ring to confirm before purchasing either! best wishes
