When I receive a .wmv attachment to an email and try to open it I get the message:
Windows Media Player encountered a problem while downloading the file. For additional assistance, click Web Help.
When I click Web Help I get the message:
Windows Media Player Error Message Help
You've encountered error message C00D0FEA while using Windows Media Player. Additional information is not currently available for this error.
What do I need to do to be able to open this type of attachment please?

It's probably encoded in a format that WMP does not support.
Try downloading and installing VLC and using that to open it - it has better codec support than WMP.0 -
