Hello All
I bought a prepacked salad at lunchtime today. Took it back to work and whilst eating it found a smallish stone in it. I had scooped it up on the fork and had the stone in my mouth at this point.
Now, I could have broken a tooth, but I didn't. Nothing bad happened, but part of me thinks it's a bit rubblish that there was a stone. Colleagues all said I should take it back, but I'm not sure what I would say?
So, best leave it be, or trog all the way back into town with half a salad and a small pebble? What is the collective wisdom of MSE?
Many thanks.

I think maybe yes if it was anything but salad. IE, a stone shouldn't be in a sandwich or pasta.'til the end of the line0

A few months ago I bit into a sandwich from asda which had a small stone and chipped my tooth on it so took it back and was given a ten pound voucher and a promise of investigation but nothing else came of it.0

Demand 5 million pounds in compensation for post-traumatic stress disorder for this nearly calamatous incident.0

A tough one this as most of them are, what would stop them stating you could have just picked up a small stone from somewhere just to make the complaint? This is what I always think when I have issues so it prevents me from taking sub standard food back
On the other hand perhaps you should always wash salads, prepackaged or otherwise, I usualy do even if it stated ready washed or ready to eat or at least look through each forkfull before putting it in my mouth.
Best of luck if you return it.Failure is only someone elses judgement.
Without change there would be no butterflies.
If its important to you, you'll find a way - if not, you'll find an excuse ! ~ Easy to say when you take money out of the equation!
