Cant Issue N1 small claim as Landlord No Address! LOST £3000?

Hi everyone,
Looking for some advice on how to obtain Landlord's address.
I have always gone through the estate agent - who acted as loandlord on a property I rented. so never had any contact with the actual landlord at all , not even any phone calls.
im going to cut a VERY long story down:
1. moved in - needed work done , never happend
2. landlord has bills - werent paid , i was then forced to have pre payment meters installed loaded with his debt
3. i move out refusing to pay his debt - power companies never helped even though they could see the error.
4. i went to retrieve the large items left
sofa/kingsize bed/fridge freezer/ and bits and bobs
worth a total of £2600
5. saw new tenants living inside using my property
was at least 6 of them, all polish and couldnt speak english.
6. managed to retrieve one sofa but was refused the rest after LL hadn called the new tenants and said dont give me anything as i owe him rent
7. police called by me to try keep peace
they confirmed LL would not be giving stuff back and to seek legal advice.
8. legal advice given - solicitors sent letters to agents. letters ignored
9. obtained N1 claim form to claim for return/value of items.
now - i have no address at all for LL
however he owns a HUGE building firm in wales
so i do have his head office address
estate agent refuses to hand over the LL address outright
and requested it in writing which i am now doing.
i have reciepts for all property im claiming for and enough evidence to prove he still has it all.
all i need is his address.
any suggestions on how to request the address from estate agent in writing?

This is a police matter, if they try to fob you off by saying it is civil then start a complaint, persist until they take notice of you.
As you are no longer a tenant the agent does not have to give you the landlord's address. Have you tried the land registry for it, it costs £4.00.0 -
This is true under LL&T law. However, (1) the LA may be sufficiently ignorant of the law to not know that and (2) alternatively, the OP can make a request under s35 of the DPAThis is a police matter, if they try to fob you off by saying it is civil then start a complaint, persist until they take notice of you.
As you are no longer a tenant the agent does not have to give you the landlord's address. .35 Disclosures required by law or made in connection with legal proceedings etc.
(1)Personal data are exempt from the non-disclosure provisions where the disclosure is required by or under any enactment, by any rule of law or by the order of a court.
(2)Personal data are exempt from the non-disclosure provisions where the disclosure is necessary—(a)for the purpose of, or in connection with, any legal proceedings (including prospective legal proceedings), or
(b)for the purpose of obtaining legal advice,or is otherwise necessary for the purposes of establishing, exercising or defending legal rights.0 -
OP - if you moved out of the property without giving proper notice the LL *can* hold you liable for the rent etc until those new Ts took occupancy.
How/when did you try to end the tenancy? If new Ts are in place then the LL must have accepted the fact that you were going. How long was there between you moving out and the new Ts moving in?
Was your tenancy within a Fixed Term, or was it running month to month?
Have you sought help from a local law centre, council private sector tenancy relations officer or via Shelter's helpline?0
