  • I used to choose ALL my preferences on the opening page and wait once for a search.
Now I put most of my preferences, click Search, then have to change my Sort from Ending Soonest to Newly Listed. Then it searches again! Not progress.
Talking about progress. You remember my Postcode, and Range. Why can't you remember that I ALWAYS sort to Newly Listed?
Good but could be better. Used to be better!

Mine always stays as lowest price first on the PC, doesnt change.

On the Android app though it remembers nothing. Even scrolling back a page or 2 and it forgets what options you chose.

  • Always used the Local eBay Deals Mapper on Safari (9.1) but recently it stopped working. Page comes up for a nanosecond and then flips to a blank page with just a badly formatted MSE header and lots of white space.
Used it on Firefox (ESR. 52.7.2) and it worked for a few days and now every time I go there and enter postcode and hit enter, it pops up a panel saying 'sorry - something went wrong" and "we're working on fixing it" etc. Been like that for a few days now.

Is it just me? Nothing else changed on my system.

Me too on mini ipad Safari. It's been as you said blank page etc. and for at least a week. I really miss it. On the iPhone it comes up with a message saying " Sorry you've landed on a page that doesn't exist" im wondering if the title has changed. One thing I've noticed though is eBay have brought out their own local eBay site. But it doesn't seem to work.

copy and paste this link into your safari browser, then as its long winded save it to favorites, if using iphone there's a small square on the bottom of the page with an arrow pointing upwards, tap it, scroll along bottom bar to add to favourites and add to home screen with the option of just calling it something short and simple

PS: you will have to scroll down to the bottom of the page, miles down, right to the bottom, thats it keep going, scroll, scroll keep scrolling as its all the way down there (well, it is on safari but only a short way done on google)

maybe thats why you have to scroll down or even cant find it on safari as it looks like its gone on safari

  • Ok - so when I get the Safari 'blank' page (nothing but an MSE heading) it turns out that if I scroll down miles, the content is actually there - using the original link (as well as the one you provided - too complex to check if they are identical). Thanks for pointing that out.

BUT WHY? What changed? How did this become borderline unusable? (Actually it is unusable for me.) And why does it not work at all on Firefox?

And despite replying to an email from MSE asking for more details, why has this not been fixed?

not sure why it aint working with firefox but legend has it if you were able to load websites until you updated Firefox or until your Internet security software was updated, reconfigured or a new one was added, your Internet security software (including firewalls, antivirus programs, anti-spyware programs, and more) is likely preventing Firefox from connecting to the Internet on some sites and in some case all due to browser extensions in firefox doesn't work with firefox, personally I only use Google as my home page (works fine)
