Balance Transfer problem

Hi guys,

I am new to sorting this stuff out. I had an Egg credit card which has since changed to Barclaycard. However, it has a £2000 debt on it.

I applied for another credit from Barclaycard, the Platinum one. Hoping that it would transfer the balance from my old one to save the horrific interest. I got accepted but they are only offering me £250, which has been cut from my old one. They sent me the card before telling me this.

I am trying to make substantial payments to my old one but I'm nearly trapped with the payments. How can escape paying the interest etc ? if possible. Please help

Have you spoken to them about shifting the balance and the limits between the cards? They might be willing to help.

You can't BT From one Bcard to another anyway, so it was a futile exercise in any case. You need to apply for a card outside of the Barclays stable.
