Making money at home from sex chat lines

I've been doing this since May 2012.....I went part time after having a baby. So needed something to top my money up.

I wouldn't say you earn mega bucks. You only get paid for the time you are on a call so if you are not talking you are not earning.

Over the months I have got to know which times are better than others so try to log on during those times. I have also built up a few regular callers. Also the company I work for will drop you a text if there are calls queing.

Like any job you do have targets and do have to work within quite strict guidelines. For example your average hold time is expected to be in excess of 5 minutes over the course of a week. Sounds easy enough, but if you get someone on the phone who you think is under 18 you quite rightly have to end the call there and then which can have a negative effect on your stats. You can get a full list of the rules and regulations from Phone Pay Plus who govern all premium rate numbers.

If I log on 3-4 nights a week I expect to earn around about £60.00 per week. Forget these programmes that have been on TV recently where people are cooking the tea, ironing etc as you do have to concentrate with what you are saying or your caller quickly picks up on the fact that you are doing something else in the back ground. I wouldn't expect to make much from the text chat side of things as they are few and far between lately.

One weird thing for me personally is that I now eye up blokes wondering if they are the type of person to ring......

Previous posts about it being cheating/unfaithful are rubbish. My other half finds it hillarious. He has walked in on a few calls before and just laughs and shakes his head. He can't actually believe that someone somewhere is a paying 60 - 150p per minute believing that I am sat there is my best negligee.....

To sum up, if you have got an open mind and are chatty and can set aside a few hours a week I would go for it......

To begin with, yes, CR were good ... my experience was that initially I had a good number of calls, but then they tailed off after a while. I got the impression, although I couldn't prove it, that fewer calls were being routed to me and more to the new girls. Also, due to serious personal issues, I didn't log in for a couple of weeks. ChatRecruit's response? To terminate my "contract". No enquiry about why I hadn't logged in. So be warned, most of these companies will drop you in a heartbeat, as there are always plenty more girls who need the money, especially in the current climate.

I know of several websites for adult work but I am unsure of the rules of me posting them on this forum.

Some people are so naive. The cost of ringing them is about 35 pence a minute at the moment. Most men would puke at the idea of paying £1 a minute and refuse to pay it. There are plenty of women doing it for 35 pence a minute so why would they have to. And you also forget that most of that goes to paying for the website, advertising and premium rate line. You seem to forget that without a lot of expensive advertising nobody knows she exists and nobody knows her phone number. And without the premium rate line they cannot ring her. This service is expensive. The woman who claimed to be earning £100 an hour was living in a tiny tatty cheap house! She also forgot to mention that most calls only last four minutes with a two hour wait for the next one.
So how on earth can you earn a lot then?
