It might (rightly) show on your credit file. It will beocme less important within a year.
Ring Tesco and grovel. Ask them nicely to reimburse the £12. Perhaps set up a direct debit too.
You could also be cheeky and ask them to remove it from your file. I can't see why they would though.0 -
Its not the £12 I am worried about,I was in the wrong not the credit card company I just wanted to know if anyone on the forum had missed a payment and it had affected their credit score.0

Yes, they have.
My apologies for going so horribly off topic.0 -
Hello Frenchy,
It creates a red or yellow spot or a number 2 on your credit report to show the payment was late. But amongst all the green dots or number 1's I can't see it "affecting" your rating in any way.0 -
Have they changed the numbering system?MuffinTops wrote: »It creates a red or yellow spot or a number 2 on your credit report to show the payment was late. But amongst all the green dots or number 1's I can't see it "affecting" your rating in any way.
As I remember, a 2 would denote payments are (up to) 2 months in arrears, a 1 one month, etc. If payments are up to date they normally post a 0 (zero).0 -

I should think so too. How on earth could you ever imagine that such useful information would be appreciated.opinions4u wrote: »My apologies for going so horribly off topic.

I'm having a problem with natwest at the moment over a 'late' payment. I closed the account in December and then get a letter on the 15th March telling me I missed a payment! Apparently I owed them £5. I never recieved any notification I owed them and they closed my access to the account on line. It is now showing on my credit rating as a missed payment0
