Booking.com a good site?

Hi, I did a search but couldn't find anything.
I have booked a hotel in Ibiza with booking.com and they said a 20% deposit is required so I have put it on my credit card no problem. Then I started to think "what if they are a dodgy site" and in the panic of wanting to book it I booked it without checking here first:mad::D
I know if it has concerns it should be highlighted on here, any concerns or should I be OK?
P.s I don't need a lecture I normally check but the excitement took over and I booked on impulse something which I never ever do :rotfl:

I've used them three times now for Hotels in various parts of Europe and found them competitive and spot-on each time. :)

I've used them for hotels all over the world with no problems.

The only slight issue is they are a tad hit and miss with quidco

  • Thanks, I never thought about quidco though :( Never mind, I managed to get a 2 bed apt for 5 of us for 9 nights all fee's paid for £1249. Very happy with that I must say looking forward to it now :D
  • I booked through them last year and had to cancel and had no problem at all. I didn't have to pay any deposit just had to give my credit card details. I was scared money would be taken when I cancelled but it wasn't.

That's a good price GHE, when are you going and is that self catering? Might have a little look at the site myself :D

Used booking.com numerous times and no problems so far. Unlike some other sites (feel free to correct me!) you don't pay up front. Hotel takes fee at end of stay, and most deals allow you to cancel without penalty up to 24 hours prior to stay.

Same with Travel Republic, Agoda, and Sawadee.
    No problems whatsoever.

I've used booking.com numerous times and I've had no problems at all with them. What I would say for you to do is search for your hotel on tripadvisor and the prices that show up from various websites from there. If you find a cheaper price you can submit a claim as booking.com have Best Price Guaranteed :) from my experience they've given me the match price, saving me some money in the process :)
