Online AS Levels?

My daughter needs to top up her BTEC Diploma with an AS level Biology in order to maximise her chances of getting a university place to study physiotherapy next September.

We do not have a college nearby that does A levels - the nearest is 20 miles away.

Can anyone recommend an online study company?

    Many universities will accept an OU unit such as http://www8.open.ac.uk/science/main/studying-science/s104-exploring-science as an alternative to A levels so I would enquire about this an option first.

    NEC do an online course, it seems well structured and they have access to a tutor. She can do the AS in a year but she just would have to find an exam center to sit the exam . The exam board they use is Edexcel and if you go onto the Edexcel website you can find the syllabus.

    The main problem with trying to do online or external AS biology is the Unit 3 controlled assessment / practical - need to register somewhere for this and really some practice.. it is one of the 3 modules and accounts for a chunk of the marks (20%)

    The unit 3 pratical can be replaced by the international unit which is not a pratical paper but a written paper. My dd did it.

    was that recently? I thought they changed it last year.
