At £24.40 for a family ticket at my local Cineworld I may as well just download the film from the internet and buy a 60" large screen TV and repay the loan at £10 a week. The popcorn machine is on standby and bottles of Coke are in the fridge.:footie:
Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

I was under the impression you couldn't book online if you were an Unlimited cardholder. I've had one for 18 months and that certainly used to be the case, though I haven't checked recently.

no we cant book in advance as an umlimited customer. But apparently cineworld are planning on changing this before the end of the year which is great news as i often turn up to see new films which are sold out0 -
Have they put up the cost of the unlimited card as well?0

If the discount applies on the mobile apps then you are now better off paying through your phone whilst you are there than paying at the box office.
Seen quite a few people do this. Hell, I've told customers to do this.MiserlyMartin wrote: »I was about to say good news they dropped the surcharges but now I've read that... £10 is shocking. I don't suppose they'll add the fee onto the popcorn etc which is already about the price the tickets if you are buying for a whole family... will they?
Makes it easier when I work on box-office. No need to deal with change
Popcorn prices stay the same. Typically speaking, a family of 2 adults and 2 kids, each with popcorn and drink, you are looking at about £54!
The funny thing is people still think they have to hide popcorn they have bought elsewhere! Makes me smile when they hide it lol. Cineworld do not allow hot food. Anything else is okay.
Like I always say, going to the cinema is not expensive. Ticket prices will always rise, but when it comes to popcorn and drink, you DO NOT need it. The amount of food people bring in. You would think they are on death row and having the last ever meal.Doesn't Cineworld have machines at the entrance where you can pop your card in and it prints the tickets off for you?
Yep. When they work. On Friday night 3 out of 4 broke down, leaving 1 machine working. Queues there get pretty long.holidaysforme wrote: »Have they put up the cost of the unlimited card as well?
