Can you transfer from MBNA to RBS?

Trying to BT on RBS website but it wont accept the MBNA number.

Just wanted to check there was no reason why you couldnt do a BT between the two?

We had this issue with the old Egg cards too but that was just a technical issue, not because they wouldn't accept a transfer from Egg.

Anyone know if this is the same?

Does your account have an Amex and Visa or Mastercard?

RBS is a Platinum Mastercard

MBNA is a Platinum Visa

Don't see reference to Amex anywhere.

The reason I asked is that somebody else on here was complaining that they had recently been sent two cards (Amex + Visa) to replace their existing Visa card by MBNA and when trying to do a balance transfer they had to use the Amex card number rather than the Visa card number for it to go through. See here, although it is a bit of a rant.

If you only have a Visa card on your MBNA account then perhaps it's worth calling RBS and asking if they can do it over the phone? There is no reason why you wouldn't be able to do the transfer.
