:mad:at least the post didn't disappear but it wasn't the whole post I had typed either - how does that work?

Today I will mostly be spending a VAST quantity of money as I have to pay bills for repairs to the house  but tomorrow I will be in receipt of funds, but it won't cover the bills paid.

To counteract this very un-MSE day I will:
    charge phones at work
munch free food at work until I have to go at lunch time
commandeer friends to assist with house repairs and tip runs
    munch free biscuits at work
drive very slowly to preserve fuel
Check house thoroughly to ensure all repairs are done as I am paying for them
Shuffle money in accounts to cover payments and avoid charges
remember to protect new tenants deposit

Happy Friday all - we made it to the weekend :A:j
    Start info Dec11
    H@lifax [STRIKE]£13813.45[/STRIKE] paid Sep14 paid 23 months early :T
    Mortgage [STRIKE]£206400[/STRIKE] £199750 Mortgage £112500
    B@rclays £[STRIKE]25000[/STRIKE] paid 4 years 5 months early. S@ntander £[STRIKE]9300[/STRIKE] paid 2 years 2 months early

  • Good afternoon all
Student teacher in teaching my lesson at the moment so I can sneak on and say a little hello to you all.
I've woken up feeling a bit unwell today and can't be bothered mode. I blew my mse last night by having a couple of drinks in front of the telly (which may explain my less than jovial mood today).
    Other things though:

    checked banking
    charged phone at work
    meals from stores
plan again to stop with the alcohol during the week
get a little bit of exercise somehow

You can tell I can't be bothered with this for today.
Have a little good news though (sorry to those who read my diary as I'm about to repeat myself). I have 'won a competition' with a weightloss company - they send out shakes and meals and you lose weight apparently. Anyway - I get their stuff half price, and if I get to my target weight in time for my wedding then I get all of my money refunded in exchance for a bit of publicity. Not sure it'll work but I'm going to try as I'm pretty desperate.... will need all of the help I can get.

brizzledfw Yeah, I would definitely go to her restaurant! She just seems like such a nice person too :)

Oh god wannabee you and me both. I have got to stop partying on a schoolnight! I had sort of convinced myself Thursday was close enough to the weekend to justify it. Bad Yorps :naughty:

Eugh, I haven't got that jolly friday feeling yet either! About to take my lovely dog to the park so that'll cheer me up.

    Today I have/will do:
    • Took mum (and dad!) out for mother's day coffee and cake. I DID NOT HAVE CAKE !!!
    • Lunch from stores
    • Dinner will be sausage casserole part 3! I will have to disguise it in some way!
    • Husband doing extra day's work so that money will go to cc in couple of week's time.
    • Credit into current account immediately transferred to tax savings.
    • NO INSERTION FEES this w/e on ebay so am going to start photographing things in readiness and not bottle like I usually do!

Have a frugal friday everyone! And good luck with the weightloss wannabee.:D

    Hi all

NTBY..thanks for the giggle.....wonder what I would get for OH on Freecycle??!! Bless him..he's too good to let go!

Just signed up to 3 survey sites. Can't see this really being worth it- money to time wise- if I started simply spending less it'd be much better..:o but I was wondering if I do try and use these for vouchers to use for buying gifts. Seems a good idea so have gone onto Toluna, Valued Opinions and Survey Friends..will see how that goes? Are these ok ones or should I try others?

Exhausted now.:rotfl:.must done about 10 basic surveys on Toluna and about 3 longer ones. Screened out of 3 but fairly quickly to be fair.

One thing was a benefit..lots of asking about my opinions on money etc...and one was how much less ( or more) you think that you want to spend in next 3-6 months. This really made me think. I put down £6k... so this is my new challenge....to save or generate £6k over next 6months...what have I started :rotfl: but oh we'll nothing ventured...bring it on!!

    Off to update sig

    Afternoon all

Thanks for your comments yesterday! W have updated our SOA with expected income change and cutbacks we can make. If i get an extra day at work then we will be able to do it quite comfortably. If i don't then we can do it with a really small margin and that would be cutting down on food ith REALLY cheap meals etc. On the look out for a weekend job maybe. Feel a bit better about it all now.

    Today

    Check banking
    Work hard
    OH home with poorly DD2
Walk to and from work - car wont be used at all today
    tea at work
    porridge for lunch at work
    dinner - hm pizza
LSD just a couple of bits to get shopping
Post SOA on to my diary

    Thats me

Looking forward to the weekend! :D

    Hi everyone,

I taught yoga last night at a friend of a friend's gym :j - have safeguarded the money ;) - going to put it towards hall hire for my own class starting next week :T

Getting two cheques in the post :D Going to half anything I get and put half towards cc#1 then need to decide the best way to use the rest - stuff for hols, party, something to keep (maybe need a trip to Pandora). Money is from M&D for my bday and money towards my party. Sooo very grateful. :)

Off to the pub at lunch for a drink only hopefully.

Have enjoyed a free coffee and two teas in work already this morning.

Reminded OH to apply for a boring job too!

Check for surveys - rejoined one poll alongside Pinec0ne. Can check for one poll on my phone so might make it easier to get them.

    PADing.

I feel like I've got a renewed vigour for clearing my cc debt for some reason today - not really sure where it's come from but I'm embracing it!!

Water bill has come down by £5 a month - can't believe water for my 3-bed house is cheaper than my 1-bed flat!!! - Anyhoo, grateful for that… :T

Read 'How to Live on 24 Hours a Day' again - really helps me feel/get organised! :)

    Hi everyone.
Bit late today so here is quick list:
Walked to work and back instead of taking car.
Took food to work for break (and actually got one today!)
    LSD (49p on onions).
Found out who our new water supplier is, registered online and asked for a bill (kinda MSE, would rather get it paid now than land with a huge bill 6 months down the line.)
Paid Argos card bill of more than minimum so don't pay interest.
Have done Onepoll and Ipsos surveys.
Tea will be MH chicken curry from stores.
Heating on for an hour only later to take chill off, I can't seem to get warm tonight. (I also need to dry uniforms for work for the next 3 days so this will do the job)
Have sorned my motorbike as it doesn't look like it will be running for a while yet.

Won't be on this weekend as I have 2 13hour shifts to do so have a good one all those who are off.
