How about putting as much effort into finding a job as you seem to be putting into avoiding the work programme?

Implying so negatively about my intentions or situation Dibuzz, only shows the kind of person you are. I suggest you work on that.

No, he's wrong. Why would you think that I have put more time into this thread, than looking for work? And what do you think is wrong with having good knowledge of a situation?

Hi. I've been on job seekers allowance for 12 months and wish to sign off. I haven't found a full time job. Does anybody know if I can sign back on again later or how long I'd have to wait?

At the risk of sounding thick, why would you sign off and loose JSA if you do not have a job? We all need a regular income.

It's obvious you are not wanting to go on the programme. If you had another job, why would you be wanting to know how long until you sign back on without it being linked?.

"So I can sign off, then if necessary, sign on after 3 months and the claim will be unlinked and reset to 0 weeks? I thought that it needed to be 6 months. Do you have a link to show this? Thank you."

Says it all to me. Whay would you care if it would be linked or not?.

Because I'm in a posiiton to spend the next month being supported, and would like to make the most of that time to be productive without distractions.

I just wanted to know the repercussions if my plan doesn't go as hoped.

My friend was due to start the New Deal over a year ago but, refused to sign up to it. He was told he could make a fresh claim after 13 Weeks.

Thanks nocareer. I don't think that the New Deal is the same as the Work Programme. From what I've read, the Work Programme is either 26 weeks or 2 years for a new claim. Not sure which.

I haven't started a Work Programme, and would like to stop jsa in the next week. Am I able to reclaim if I stopped without finding work, and how long would I have to wait to reclaim?
