makeover scam???

I was contacted tonight via telephone and told i had won a prize to go to London for a makeover/photoshoot. I did enter a draw for something like it, but only yesterday. They said i would be made up, have pictures and could bring a friend or 3 family members and they too would get the same. They did the old "top stylists" and name dropped clients of them etc. BUT..... they needed a £49.99 refundable commitment fee from me. I told them no. I am an ex model and know never to pay if offered a contract etc. Please agree this was defo a scam??? Im quite ill but would have loved to go along to this. My head/heart screamed scam all along, hence the declination!!! xxx

There's loads of threads on here about it. Everyones ones, so much so if it's a boring day in the office, we opt to submit a few entries with dodgy names for them to call.

Ah well glad i trusted my instinct!!! Would have loved it as well. Going centre parcs soon and think they do a photgraphy thing there, so may look into that instead xxx unless there are repuatable companies out there? x
