Big dip in production around 9:30 - wonder what caused that - but otherwise an almost perfect day. 19kWh or 3.63 Os.

2kWh in immersion to give us loads of nice hot water and 8kWh into the radiators. Had to turn them off the room got so warm.

Two and a half Os in Sussex, and no sign of the sun until 11am, when it popped out through clouds looking entirely circular and saying 'what eclipse?'. However, there was a neat V in today's solar graph, so the rumours were probably true.
I enjoyed reading 'it would have been a Hawaii if it hadn't been for the eclipse'. Now there's an excuse you won't hear often!

Another sign of the times - I put in my FIT reading last week, and today got a message saying 'we can't pay you till you prove you've generated as much as you say.' I haven't worked out how much over estimate my system is for the first quarter of the year, but it must be quite a lot.

Blame the tabloid hype about being "plunged into darkness" for that. Those of us with PV know more than most that an 85% eclipse is just a slightly dull day.
2kWp Solar PV - 10*200W Kioto, SMA Sunny Boy 2000HF, SSE facing, some shading in winter, 37° pitch, installed Jun-2011, inverter replaced Sep-2017 AND Feb-2022.

Only 4.8 O's for me; would have been a Hawaii; thanks to eclipse rubbish. As for breaking down O's into fractions; too complicated for me.....smiley-laughing021.gif.......coffee.gif
2.5 kWp PV system, SSW facing, 45 Deg Roof. ABB Inverter, Monitor: 'Wattson'.
Reg. for FIT Nov 2011. "It's not what you generate; it's how you use it that matters". One very clean Vauxhall Diesel Sri, £30.00 Road Tax: B)

Definition of 'O's = kWh/kWp (kWh = your daily & accurate Generation figure) (kWp = the rated output of your PV Panels).

Perhaps you should reply; "I demand payment, unless you can prove otherwise"......coffee.gif

You must read the trashy tabloids?

The event was exactly as anticipated. 87% eclipse at 9:27am at my location. The accuracy of the eclipse forecast months, even years out, is astounding when you think about it.

It did as expected, dimmed the Sun to that of a level more likely on a dull Winters day. It never was going to be the spectacular "Britain blacks out" event that certain Newspapers claimed - actually the same News papers that repeatedly told me to prepare for whiteout blizzard conditions lasting for weeks - when not a flake of snow fell in reality!
  • Panels currently maxed out here in fife. I have met my days needs to stay on prediction track already. A few clouds in the sky though but today has the potential to be a very good day.
2.43 from 9 x 270 Trina panels. Samil solar river 2600 inverter. Due South. 30 pitch. East coast of Scotland just North of Forth bridge.

Miserable and cold today, currently on 4.4 kWh, which is my year from install closing score. I'll post annual shenanigans tomorrow as off to a ladies festival in 2 hours!

More importantly, Wales did good, wish the Scots did better and I'm hoping that England can put a decent points spread up against the garlic munchers!
4kWp, SSE, SolarEdge P300 optimisers & SE3500 Inverter, in occasionally sunny Corby, Northants.
Now with added Sunsynk 5kw hybrid ecco inverter & 15kWh Fogstar batteries. Oh Octopus Energy too.
