    A better day today!

    1.61 O's (6.33kWh)

My surplus Solar is diverted into the underfloor heating. Todays Wattson Dashboard shows very clearly the saving on heating today as the excess solar heated the house and the heat pump stopped cycling on - until the Sun dropped, at which point it kicked in again.

Awesome use of the power :)

I see it as an acknowledgement that you have read the post and appreciated the input. That's all it is. It doesn't cost anything to use and I feel it is courteous to use it. Getting a PM every time I posted something useful would drive me insane!

It's a bit tricky I think. I sort of agree with Eric, and on other threads only thank when it's (in my opinion) very useful, or sometimes, just to acknowledge (thank) somebody for taking the time to reply to me, but there's no need to say anything back.

But on this thread, as I don't always post, I tend to thank everyone as a way of saying hello, and thanks for 'the banter'. A sort of electronic handshake, or good day.

Good gen day today, got an O.

I was about to ask "oh no, what's wrong with your system?" then realised it's an "O" not a "zero" :D O's are good things!

Eric. I was going to thank you, but If you think it's silly I'll not bother:)
That's an entirely logical point which I appreciate.

But appending a thanks flag to the post would suggest that I found the whole of it particularly useful.

    Well this could turn tedious.

If you wish to use the thanks button as an acknowledgement and to show your appreciation of being a part of this ongoing (friendly) conversation in this great little online community, then that is wonderful. I for one appreciate the "thanks" acknowledgements.

If you are rude and can't bring yourself to click the mouse, then don't.

    Simple as that.
