Best thing that happened here, was the fire & the rebuild. Put us right back on the map :rotfl:
Went to WSM in the late 90's for a dirt weekend.
After the fire we referred to WSM as WSNP (Western Super No Pier) until you got the new one.
Once the drizzle cleared this morning it turned out fairly decent. 1.35 O's3.795 kWp Solar PV System. Capital of the Wolds0 -

An issue of etiquette? I have more generally thanked posters who have helped me through follow-up postings rather than using a "thank you" button. If you track back you will find that I have done this. Sometimes, I reflect upon a posting and then respond later.
However, I will try to use the "thank you" button from now on.I have osteoarthritis in my hands so I speak my messages into a microphone using Dragon. Some people make "typos" but I often make "speakos".0 -

I find it rather silly that some members of this forum seem to thank any- & everyone for posting to such a degree that receiving their thanks becomes meaningless !NE Derbyshire.4kWp S Facing 17.5deg slope (dormer roof).24kWh of Pylontech batteries with Lux controller BEV : Hyundai Ioniq50 -
I very rarely use the "thank you" button either. Only in exceptional circumstances would I ever consider doing so - and even then a follow up posting or even a PM would seem more appropriate.

I see it as an acknowledgement that you have read the post and appreciated the input. That's all it is. It doesn't cost anything to use and I feel it is courteous to use it. Getting a PM every time I posted something useful would drive me insane!0 -

Totally agree:)
Gives me an idea how my system is performing compared to OP and theirs + a bit of light hearted banter;)

Eric. I was going to thank you, but If you think it's silly I'll not bother:)Sterlingtimes wrote: »

Yes, I absolutely agree with Andy & Lego on this, simply courteous having taken the time to check and post the days generation total. I find this thread both useful and interesting to monitor locally (Lego) and compare more generally, so appreciate folk taking the time to post up.
