Renewables: "talking 'bout my generation"

18.13kWh yesterday. I need 8kWh as of now to reach July PVGIS.
32KWh needed to beat June's total.
Today started OK, but showers are forecast after lunch:eek:
Comparing last 3 months electricity usage with same period last year, I am almost 50% down. Could also be down to the weather or changing habits regarding wasting power(now I am a producer)
Gas is down to almost nothing over same period!

Yay after worrying about not hitting PVGIS for July I went past it a couple of days ago
Am very pleased after the dismal June we had.
Current total for July: 484 kWh - PVGIS for July 456 kWh16 x Sanyo HIT 240w panels, 3.84kWp, south facing, 30 degree slope in the SW, 4.4 Eltek HE-t inverter installed 27/03/120 -
Another quite good day 20.2 kWh which included one peak very close to 4kW (a sunny spell immediately following a heavy shower) and several others above 3.5kW but several deep dips too (e,g. 180w at 14:20).
Getting very close to July pvgis forecast. 30.7 kWh needed in two days which is rather less than any two of last 4 days. Forecast isn't good - but then neither was today's.NE Derbyshire.4kWp S Facing 17.5deg slope (dormer roof).24kWh of Pylontech batteries with Lux controller BEV : Hyundai Ioniq50 -

Pretty good day all things considered 27kWh's!
Mart.Mart. Cardiff. 8.72 kWp PV systems (2.12 SSW 4.6 ESE & 2.0 WNW). 20kWh battery storage. Two A2A units for cleaner heating. Two BEV's for cleaner driving.

Mart.
That's a nice new signature you've got there Mart! Well done for getting it sorted in time, fingers crossed for a swift registration!
A rain & cloud affected performance today, but still notched 15.2kWh as we powered past the July PVGIS target.
The rain is being quite accommodating, mostly falling at night when it's best for the garden and for the PV. Our 200 litre water butt which was empty Friday is now half-full.Cider Country Solar PV generator: 3.7kWp Enfinity system on unshaded SE (-36deg azimuth) & 45deg roof0 -

SDJ - it got a little interesting towards the end! AC side and inverter Thursday, DC side and panels yesterday, written confirmation (permission) from the DNO Saturday. Was I bothered!
FITs application made via e-mail, then phonecall to confirm receipt and correct. Phew, now just have to wait 2 or 3 months for contract and full registration. As I'm over 4kWp the extension will be at 16.8p.
EPC was a nice surprise, over the 15 years since moving in (when the kitchen was colder than the inside of the fridge - I kid you not), we've done all the normal, suggested 'stuff', plus a few little tweaks and common-sense bits and bobs. Got a A94 score, that'll do nicely.
SolarEdge - kicks butt. Switched on at 1.10pm, with the sun still slightly on the wrong side of the house, and above and behind the panels. Plus one of the 8 panels almost entirely in the shade of the chimney (perhaps 90% covered). Checked performance, expecting 3 or 4 hundred watts, and it was already doing 1200W. Very, very impressed.
Chose BoB panels (black on black), black framed and black backsheet. Wow, wifey already labeled them 'stealth panels'. Only cost me about £6ish more each.
Hoping to add a section on 'extensions' to the FAQ thread, but really not sure where to start, the term 'herding cats' springs to mind, it was only the beginning of last week that I finally got all of the bits in one place at one time.
Now, back to the Olympics for a rest, and a little less stress.
