It's been a strange couple of days !
Started yesterday with panels under an inch of snow - most of which fell off by 10am. Very cloudy & rainy all day : peak output 240w around 4pm and only 0.5kwh generated all day.
Not all bad news though - collected 1.5 tonnes of rainwater.
Still a little snow on panels at 9am today - but now all gone. Mainly dull but fleeting glimpses of sun all day giving a very 'spiky' graph. Several spikes exceeded 3kw. that at 12:05 was 3.71 and we're over 13kwh on the day.NE Derbyshire.4kWp S Facing 17.5deg slope (dormer roof).24kWh of Pylontech batteries with Lux controller BEV : Hyundai Ioniq50 -
Well that was a surprise. My best day ever (since mid June 2011).2kWp Solar PV - 10*200W Kioto, SMA Sunny Boy 2000HF, SSE facing, some shading in winter, 37° pitch, installed Jun-2011, inverter replaced Sep-2017 AND Feb-2022.0

The weather is just so random here:

Only the top tip of Scotland was 'normal', the rest of did rather well, for which my TGM is very grateful!
Now look at the rainfall for Jan/Feb/Mar.

That was quite an eye-opener, I'd thought it had been overly wet here for nearly 3 years, but checking Cardiff area, and seasons, 3 out of every 4 seasons were less than average. Do I need to let you know that the 1 in 4 each year was Summer!
I suppose, thinking back, that constant damp/drizzle days are not the same as good ole fashioned pee downs.

Getting back to the thread, this month so far has been pretty poor, at around 60% of where I need to be at at the moment:
01/04/12: 9.1kWh (129% of target)
02/04/12: 2.6kWh (38% of target)
03/04/12: 3.6kWh (52% of target)
04/04/12: 3.2kWh (47% of target)
05/04/12: 7.9kWh (113% of target)
06/04/12: 2.4kWh (35% of target)
07/04/12: 1.3kWh so far at midday.
01/04/12: 11.48kWh
02/04/12: 11.55kWh
03/04/12: 6.80kWh
04/04/12: 8.05kWh
05/04/12: 1.95kWh
06/04/12: 11.97kWh (higher than any day last summer!)
Based on a PVGIS target of 6.13kWh per day for April I'm doing pretty well (140%). Dull today though so I'll be lucky to hit 3kWh.

My system is teasing me!
Pretty grotty day here, lots of grey and black clouds, but for 10 mins the sun just managed to sneak out. Room lit up like a floodlight had been switched on.
Monitor hit 3.54kW on a 3.58kWp system, cheeky little teaser. Only lasted 1 min, but not bad given 30 and 20 deg roof angles. Back to 900W now, where it's been most of the morning.
What is up with these weather forecasts, Friday expected 5 got 13, yesterday expected 8 got 3?

I had another shock today, got a peak of 4,458 for about 15 mins!!
And yes I did a screenshot. Now there's thick cloud again - shame16 x Sanyo HIT 240w panels, 3.84kWp, south facing, 30 degree slope in the SW, 4.4 Eltek HE-t inverter installed 27/03/120 -
That's an increase of 16% above panel quoted figures. Surely that's more of an inverter mis-calculation than an actual generation figure?16 x 250W JA Solar Panels (JAM6-60-250) : Fronius IG TL 3.6 Inverter : South Facing : 28 Degree Pitch : No Shading : Manchester M460

Not from what I understand - there's a reason I have a 4.4kWh inverter installed with my 3.84kWh system of Sanyo HIT panels16 x Sanyo HIT 240w panels, 3.84kWp, south facing, 30 degree slope in the SW, 4.4 Eltek HE-t inverter installed 27/03/120
